About the Course
Ready to put your white water leading skills to the test? Join us on a white water leader assessment in North Wales. At Paddle365 we believe in assessments for learning, so while we will be assessing you against the BCAB White Water Leader assessment syllabus we will also be making plenty of notes to provide you with honest and constructive feedback after the assessment day, to ensure you have an action plan to improve your leadership skills going forward, whether you have met the required WWL standard or not.
This assessment day already has 1 person booked on, and we have a single space left to book. On this day you will showcase your leadership skills taking a group of 3 or 4 paddlers for a fun journey along a section of grade 2(3) water in Wales. Within the day you will have to demonstrate your skills in the following areas:
Participant focussed leadership skills
Personal paddling skills
Rescue skills
Underpinning background knowledge, understanding and experience
For full details on what is required within this assessment please see the 'White Water Leader Assessment Guidance' and 'White Water Leader Checklist' documents at the following link: https://britishcanoeingawarding.org.uk/leadership-moderate-water/
To join this assessment day the cost is £200. If you would like to arrange an assessment with us on another day please get in touch. We charge £250 for a 1:1 assessment or £200pp for an assessment with 2 candidates.
