Grade 3-4 Whitewater Kayaking Skills Courses
Our Grade 3/4 White Water Skills Courses can range from bespoke single day lessons, weekend courses or full on week-long trips in the UK and internationally. All of these more advanced courses are aimed at adapting your existing skills for the grade 4 environment, which is often characterised by having steeper terrain and longer rapids.
Throughout this course we'll work with you to develop your abilities in the 5 Elements of Whitewater Kayaking:

Throughout these courses we can work through the PaddleUK Personal Performance Awards to help structure your development. The Progressive Whitewater Award is aimed at empowering paddlers to be confident to plan and undertake in peer paddling trips safely in the grade 3(4) environment.
What level of paddler is this aimed at?
The grade 3 -4 kayaker who wants to up their game. Stop relying on support strokes, use the river and style their lines. You don't have to be all over it, that's why we're here, but to make the most of this course you should have a reliable roll and be paddling class 3 well with a degree of consistency, and be keen to paddle and learn on grade 4.
What's included in the price
- Professional guiding & coaching from an experienced and qualified member of staff.
- An action plan for your progression going forward, and further remote input whenever you seek it.
- Access to the Paddle365 long-term Mentorship program.
- Digital copies of any photos from the trip.
What's not included in the price
- Accomodation and food. Contact us for hotel recommendations local to our most likely course venues.

Northern England is home to some fantastic UK Whitewater from the moorland runs of Yorkshire to the becks of the Lake District, this region screams to be explored by kayak.
Since most of the whitewater of Yorkshire and The Lakes fits into the grade 3 (+/-) bracket, it has increasingly become known as an intermediate level kayaker's paradise.
