PaddleUK Whitewater Kayaking Courses
Are you looking to become certified as a whitewater leader or coach? Perhaps you want to brush up on your safety skills? Or maybe you're wanting formal recognition of your personal kayaking skills?
We are proud to offer a range of PaddleUK courses in safety, leadership, coach development & personal performance for whitewater kayakers. We will aim to always have a few of these in the calendar that you can book onto, but if you have a group of friends or club mates who want a bespoke training course then please send us an email.
At Paddle365 we offer the following PaddleUK awards:
Personal Performance Awards
We can offer the PaddleUK White Water Award, Progressive White Water Award & Advanced White Water Award as part of any of our skills development courses and on our whitewater adventures. With our new innovative approach to these awards, any of our course attendees can request a Paddle365 PPA course booklet to track their progress developing whitewater skills and becoming a safe paddler as part of a peer based team.
White Water Safety / Advanced White Water Safety Training
These 2 day courses are probably the most important pieces of whitewater tuition that paddlers ever receive. Both the standard and advanced courses are fully immersive with lots of hands-on scenario based learning. We will practice life saving techniques so that you can make sure that you are as well armed as possible to the realities of risk inherent in whitewater kayaking.
Theses courses are prerequisites for the White Water Leader & Advanced White Water Leader award.
White Water Safety & Sending (Standard or Advanced)
Paddle365 understands that White Water Safety isn't about discouraging risk based challenges...
It's about taking them on with control, together!
This is a 4 day course combing a PaddleUK certificated safety training course with 2 days paddling together as a team at the top end of your group's ability. We'll aim to develop skills and knowledge in safe whitewater kayaking practice, while putting it into practice in the best possible way!
White Water Leader / Advanced White Water Leader
Are you looking to lead paddlers on whitewater, either professionally, as part of a club or maybe you just want to feel more confident leading trips with your mates? The white water leader awards are designed to give you the skills and confidence to lead in your chosen environment, either grade2(3) for the standard award or grade 4 for the advanced award, both of which can be delivered by Paddle365.
Leadership Training
These 2 day courses are guaranteed to push you, advance your leadership knowledge and tactics, and send you towards assessment with a firm idea of the steps you should take to get ready. There are no formal prerequisites to attend a PaddleUK leadership training.

White Water Kayak Coach Award
If you already lead paddlers in white water but would like to start developing their skills and helping them progress, then this is the ticket you need to get into the exciting world of whitewater kayak skills development coaching.
White Water Kayak Coach Discipline Specific Training
This 2 day white water specific training course is designed to take the knowledge you learned on the core coach training, strengthen it, and apply it to the discipline of white water kayaking. In the course of this training we will aim to shed light on the whole process of whitewater skills coaching, answering the questions of both what to coach, and how to coach it.
