About the Course
Paddle365 understands that White Water Safety isn't about discouraging risk based challenges... It's about taking them on with control, together! This is a 4 day course combing a PaddleUK certificated advanced white water safety training course with 2 days paddling together as a team at the top end of your group's ability. We'll aim to develop skills and knowledge in safe whitewater kayaking practice, while putting it into practice in the best possible way!
This course will be delivered by coaches who are operating at the cutting edge of white water skill, safety and understanding in advanced environments. We aim to develop attendees to not only understand the safe operation of high level white water kayaking trips, but to revel in it!
This course can also be used as an opportunity to work toward and certify the Progressive White Water Award, or Advanced White Water Award.
What level of paddler is this aimed at?
This is for grade 3-4 kayakers who love paddling sections like the Upper Tryweryn, Upper Dart, Olympic Course, Orchy and Etive, who want to keep adventuring while upping the safety standards of them and those around them.
This course has been designed for Kayakers specifically. If you are hoping to use a different craft, contact us directly for advice on whether we are able to accommodate.
What is included in the course?
Professional guiding & coaching from an experienced and qualified member of staff.
BCAB certification for Advanced White Water Safety, inclusive of PaddleUK fee.
An action plan for your progression going forward, and further remote input whenever you seek it.
Access to the Paddle365 long-term Mentorship program.
Digital copies of any photos from the trip.
What is NOT included in the course?
Accommodation and food. Contact us for hotel recommendations local to our most likely course venues.
Transport to and from the river (unless agreed otherwise).
Any Personal Performance Award certification fees.
Boat hire or equipment use (This can be arranged at additional cost. Please contact us if you require anything).
Car parking or facility fees.

Qualifications:
BCAB Advanced Whitewater Kayak Performance Coach (Equivalent to old BCU level 5)
Bio:
A highly experienced kayaker and passionate coach; Jamie made a bid to escape the London life he was born to by devoting as much time to adventure kayaking as is humanly possibly. With a long list of major river descents across the world to his name, his personal experience is matched by his enthusiasm and passion. Jamie is a Pyranha Kayaks and NRS Europe team member.
Jamie heads up our UK Coaching Team and delivers a ton of skills courses and workshops for happy paddlers all year round!
