About the Course
Join us for the most important piece of whitewater tuition you'll ever receive. Your Paddle UK Whitewater Safety Training will be an immersive two day experience with hands-on scenario based learning. We will practice life saving techniques so that you can make sure that you are as well armed as possible to the realities of risk inherent in whitewater kayaking.

Kit List
Personal kayaking clothing - especially footwear suitable for scrambling around banks
Throwline – Floating high visibility rope, minimum length 15m, minimum diameter 8mm
River Knife – sharp, safely stowed but easily accessible single-handed
2 to 3 Karabiners – Locking HMS pear shaped anodised alloy karabiners
1 Sling/Tape webbing
Buoyancy Aid with quick release chest harness
Whistle

If there are any items on the list you do not have access to, please ask us for advice. Our aim is to have a variety of equipment on the course available to to share within the team.
What level of paddler is this aimed at?
This is for grade 2-3 kayakers with a good understanding of the river environment, consistent boat handling skills in grade 2, and semi consistent in grade 3.
Paddle365 are proud whitewater kayak craft specialists. If you would like to attend in Canoe or SUP, this should be fine but please check with us beforehand for course suitability.
What is included in the course?
Professional guiding & coaching from an experienced and qualified member of staff.
BCAB Certification for either White Water Safety, inclusive of PaddleUK certification fee
An action plan for your progression going forward, and further remote input whenever you seek it.
Access to the Paddle365 long-term Mentorship program.
Digital copies of any photos from the trip.
What is NOT included in the course?
Accommodation and food. Contact us for hotel recommendations local to our most likely course venues.
Transport to and from the river (unless agreed otherwise).
Boat hire or equipment use (This can be arranged at additional cost. Please contact us if you require anything).
Car parking or facility fees.

Bio:
Having discovered kayaking over 30 years ago as a young child, it quickly became completely integral to my life and the source of friendships, career aspirations and worldwide exploration.
Paddling to me, first and foremost, means 'community' and I feel incredibly privileged to be able to share this, and the wonderful places you can only see by kayak with others.
