We're very proud at Paddle365 to offer outstanding whitewater coaching and guiding, but we couldn't do what we do without the support of great companies in the kayaking industry. It is great to be a part of a community that strives to help each other, allowing for all paddlers to reach their potential. We'd like to take this chance to say thanks to all these great organisations and explain a bit about why we love working closely with all of them.
Pyranha are not only a world leading kayak manufacturer that specialise in high performance whitewater kayaks, but also a local company full of paddling enthusiasts, who design and manufacture their boats in Runcorn, Cheshire. Jamie is part of the Pyranha kayaks team and has been paddling their boat designs for more than 9 years. Joe and Matt are also paddling Pyranha boats and funnily enough all 3 have said their favourite Pyranha kayak is the ReactR!
NRS are a US based manufacturer of kayaking equipment, but also have a huge presence in the UK and Europe. Jamie has been paddling as an NRS Europe team member for 6 years and has been kept safe and warm by their products, from PFD's to Drysuits and Cags. Here's what he has to say:
My current favourite piece of kit is the Vector PFD - it is secure, high floatation and has plenty of space for my kit. But a very close second is the NRS Paddle float - designed for sea kayaking but also a great piece of kit on the river to store a set of 4 piece split paddles and act as an airbag at the same time!
Based in the hub of paddling activity that is Mile End Mill, the site operated by our friends at TNR Outdoors, Go Kayaking is an amazing store sitting on the banks of the river Dee with a whole fleet of Pyranha demo kayaks on offer. We enjoy having a close relationship with Go Kayaking and so do our customers as you can receive a discount on a purchase of any in stock equipment on the day of a course with us.
One of the most familiar names in the UK Kayak retail market and based in Bala with a store right at the heart of the National WW Centre, Canolfan Tryweryn. They have the largest demo fleet in the UK, as anyone who's been down to the Tryweryn on a busy Saturday will surely know. With plenty of super helpful staff on hand and kit in store they're sure to be able to help you out. When the Radical Rider team aren't getting your fitted with shiny new kit they're often spotted paddling on the local North Wales classic runs.
After their huge success with Online Sea Kayaking, Simon and James decided to take on the world of whitewater kayaking for their online skills courses. They have developed arguably the best kayak video instruction currently available and they're always adding more. Jamie has had the pleasure of working with OWW as one of their on-camera coaches, check out his "Reading and understanding the river" course.
New on the scene and passionate about one of the most important parts of kayaking - the community. RallyCrew is the newest online space for paddlers across the globe to connect, chat, plan trips and find events. It's been amazing to see how enthusiastic the whole RallyCrew team are and we're excited to see this new community flourish.
Well... While Paddle the Dee is technically a sperate company to Paddle365, it is still us running the show! We love having Paddle the Dee as the other half to the 365 coin, where we can introduce people from all over to the wonderful world of paddlesport. From stag and hens, to intro whitewater lessons, paddleboarding and grade 2/3 rapids for peoples first kayaking experiences, it truly is a privilege to take people out into these wonderful places. Some of whom go on to join our Paddle365 family of enthusiastic learners.
