(Incorporating the British Canoeing white water Kayak leader training, REC First Aid Level 2 and White Water Safety and Rescue Training.

We've put together the ultimate training course to prepare you to lead groups on white water!

​

 

Our 7 day Complete River Leader package incorporates the British Canoeing White Water Safety and Rescue course (WWSR) and the white water kayak leader training (formally 4 star leader), as well as a 2 day REC emergency outdoor first aid course! The REC level 2 is a practical first aid course covering emergency care in the outdoors, including CPR.

This gives you all the formal documentation to move forward toward assessment.  

 

As well as all the formal qualification training, our staff are on hand to bring you top class coaching and instruction from internationally experienced coaches and guides.
Learn current and cutting edge techniques in both your leadership and personal kayaking.

We go above and beyond, exceeding the minimum requirements for these courses in both time and content, giving you the best platform to move forward toward to becoming a qualified white water leader. 

 

 

Example Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival/First aid.

We'll meet you at the accommodation for a briefing on the day, before we get started on our first aid practice. This will be a practical course and aa mix of indoor and outdoor practice.
 

Day 2 - First Aid

More first aid workshops and opportunities to practice everything we are talking about in realistic scenarios. 

 

Day 3 - 6

Over the next few days we'll be on the river covering the syllabus of both the WWSR and white water leader training. 
We'll provide realistic scenarios and opportunities for you to put everything in to practice, with guidance from ourselves.

We'll do our best to provide mock students for some of the time, giving you a chance to really put things together. 

We'll also giving you coaching on your personal skills, helping you step up your personal paddling and feel more confident in the environment you'll be leading others in.

 

Day 7 - Last river day/Check out.

We'll spend the day out on the river again, a last chance for questions and working on your personal skills. 

We'll head back to accommodation for a debrief and action plans moving forward over a cup of tea or coffee. 
After debriefs it's time to part ways! But we hope we'll see you soon!
